From a Distance
Tamera Alexander's book, From A Distance. is an exciting adventure into late 1800s Colorado, with a mystery. It takes the reader into the mountains, over snow covered passes, to cliff dwellings; and through the emotions of post civil war survivors. The story reveals the destructive force of lies and secrets; and the struggle to let go of the past. Love and God are the overcomers for the characters, who the reader will fall in love with. Tamera does a good job of character study and description, so the reader feels an affinity with the people and their feelings and actions.
