Casa De Naomi is the first book in the series rich with the history of the dark cloud of suspicion and fear of those "Christ killers" that permeated the atmosphere of Christian thought - even in America and even as late as the fifties. This story is a good example of the things Jews went through here in America. Paula Rose has done a good job of painting realistic characters with the emotions and reactions that are true to character. Realism and hope are constant themes. I recommend these books to anyone who loves romance and history - and everyone who wants to get a glimpse of how destructive anti-semitism is to both sides of a fence that needs tearing down.
