what a delightful story. first there was Jane who came from 1814 to the present; then we have Xandra leaving the present and hiding, with a loss of memory, in 1814. The parson asks her how her soul is and she tells it's asleep - he says for her to take care of it, for it will last longer than anything else she will ever have. Oh, this is such a pleasure to read, right up to the thrilling end, through tense moments and laughter...
