Title

Of first importence:
Keep it short
Say something that reveals the tone of your book, prepares the reader and indicates the pace.
Be posative. I wanted to name one of my books The Beautiful Melincholy Rain but my sister said it was a bad title and no one would want to read a book with that name. I don’t think Dianna’s Source of Strength was much better.
Be secific – and we’re back to keeping it short.

Classifications:
Plain Label would be like The Baker Family Saga or The Road West. Neither one pulls the reader into the book to see what it’s all about.
Striking Statement might be something like Death On The Trail  or The Dreadful Trail
Paraphrase takes a well worn phrase and turns it into something that will catch the eye like Home Sweeter Home. That was a title suggested in a course I took from the Christian WritersGuild.
Alliteration would be something like New Life or Old Strife.
Quotations should be easier, but they’re not for me. Maybe Walking in The Midst of Trouble.
Question would be something like Why Go West?
Balance and Contrast  - New Life For an Old Family or as is suggested in the study guide Good News for Bad People
Exclaimation – Go West, Old Man!
The Unusual must not offend the reader.
A Touch of Drama should be an ingredient of most titles. The Road West has no drama. Evelyn’s Anxious Banch has drama but confused people who have neer heard of an anxious bench.

Maybe The Hard Way Home would work for book six.
